The fire crackled louder, filling the silence between us. I could feel the tremors from her body. Her arms were folded with each other, chin lightly resting on her knees. Her palms rubbing each other and warming up near the fireplace.
I looked away immediately, when I felt her eyes, russet brown with a hint of black at the edges peering at me. I let out a shaky breath nervously.
"Aise toh bak bak karte rehte ho? What happened to you today?" She asked and I cleared my throat.
"You are cold?" I asked.
